Arthur D. Kerins has over 30 years in the computer consulting industry, with 12 years in the investment banking industry. He started out as a COBOL developer in 1985 working on systems for Consulting Solutions Inc. While there, he created a personal information manager written to work on either hard disks or floppies. Upon leaving Consulting Solutions, Inc., Arthur worked in document processing for the Investment Banking division of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. After learning the Microsoft suite of desktop applications, Arthur left to become Supervisor of Research Services for the High Yield Division of Shearson Lehman/American Express. Once the Shearson split occurred, Arthur transferred to the IS division of Lehman/American Express as a desktop support technician for 3 years. Upon the divestiture of Lehrman Brothers by American Express, Arthur left to become IT support for the High Yield Group at Bear Stearns. After staying with the High Yield group for 1 year, Arthur transferred to the IT division of Bear Stearns to manage Research and Development for 3 years. Following his year as Associate Director, Arthur left to become Associate Director in charge of Research and Development for Barclay’s Bank Investment Banking US Division. After 1 year there, Arthur became part of Merritt Technology where he expanded the company to become a multi-million dollar business. After 7 years there as Partner, he left to found Quantum Technology Partners with fellow Merritt employee Ray Gittings.
